The Supportabilities Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

(ID #47-5101680) based in Pompano Beach, Florida.

 

Our programs are offered in a structured and fun setting to enhance both physical and social development of every participant. All Supportabilities Foundation programs:

  • Develop social skills
  • Increase self-confidence and coping skills
  • Develop motor skills
  • Develop and reinforce healthy lifestyle habits

Programs are designed for individuals of all ages, abilities, developmental and/or physical disabilities. Supportabilities strives to accommodate all individuals, regardless of diagnosis, ability, or socioeconomic status. 

The Supportabilities Foundation programs foster positive experiences for the entire family. Programs are continually evolving to meet the needs of current participants, the growing population of individuals with special needs, and to maintain high levels of program integrity and quality. 

 

Highly Qualified Staff

  •  Supportabilities always has at least one Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Master's level therapist, or Certified staff trainer on site at all times
  • All lead staff have over 10 years hands on and programming experience working with children with special needs

Fun, Inclusive Family Environment

  • Siblings are welcome to participate or volunteer.  Parents are able to watch (or join) their children engage in fun, adaptive programs in a safe, supportive environment

Low staff to student ratios

  • Supportabilities offers at least a 1:4 staff to student ratio for all programs

  • Each Supportabilities program is offered in a structured, fun setting to enhance both physical and social development of every child

The Supportabilities leadership team has over 20 years combined experience developing, adapting, and running programs for individuals with special needs in a variety of settings and contexts (including developing nationally recognized programs with the YMCA). 

Supportabilities staff is composed of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Master’s level therapists, certified trainers, and subject matter experts who are adept at responding to the unique needs of each participant.  Supportabilities maintains low staff to participant ratios (at least 1:4) for all program offerings, and the programs are led by highly trained staff.  The quality and experience of Supportabilities Foundation staff ensures that each participant has the best possible experience, regardless of their functioning level or experience.   

Supportabilities’ medical director, Dr. Carlos Lopez MD, FAAP, oversees the development and implementation of our programs, working with our team to ensure the highest possible outcomes for all participants.
